Zelenskyy and Fico discuss cooperation in various fields and holding government meeting
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan. The president’s press service reported that the head of state emphasized Ukraine’s readiness for a constructive dialogue with Slovakia and its interest in developing strong bilateral relations.
Zelenskyy and Fico discussed cooperation in various areas and the organization of a meeting between the governments of the two countries in the format of an intergovernmental commission in the near future. The parties also addressed Ukraine’s membership in the European Union, with Fico providing assurances that Slovakia supports Ukraine’s accession and is prepared to offer assistance. Furthermore, the leaders discussed an exchange of visits to Kyiv and Bratislava and agreed that their teams would work on a schedule.
