Trump accuses Biden of giving Ukraine significant amounts of weapons without compensation
U.S. President Donald Trump has accused previous White House head Joseph Biden of, in his view, giving Ukraine significant amounts of U.S. weapons and resources without proper financial compensation.
"Biden came in like a fool, and he gave a lot of what we had to Ukraine. $350 billion they spent. We don’t do that. Everyone has to pay," he said during a conversation with journalists at the White House on Friday.
Trump also said that the EU, in his opinion, is paying the United States, while the Biden administration did not receive money for the weapons transferred to Ukraine, despite significant amounts of military inventory.
"The European Union pays us, but Biden didn’t get money; he got nothing. He gave a lot of the inventory away. Now relatively speaking it’s got that. But it was a lot of inventory," Trump said.
