USF of AFU: Four Su-57, Su-34 aircraft hit on Russian territory
The Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have reported strikes on four military aircraft at the Shagol airfield near Chelyabinsk, Russia, Commander of the USF of the AFU Robert "Madyar" Brovdi has said.
"The birds of the 1st Separate Center of the USF paid a courtesy visit to the Shagol military airfield in Chelyabinsk, Russia, on April 25, 2026. As a result of additional satellite reconnaissance, the General Staff confirmed hits by at least three deep-strike assets, with varying degrees of damage to the following aircraft: two Su-57 fighter jets, one Su-34 fighter-bomber and one Su aircraft of an unidentified modification," the USF said on Telegram.
The commander said that striking Su-34 multirole fighter-bombers and fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jets is critically important for reducing the enemy’s strike potential.
"The Su-34, as the main strike platform, is capable of carrying a wide range of guided bombs and missiles, striking critical infrastructure, military facilities and civilian targets from a distance of up to 1,000 kilometers. Each destroyed Su-34 means fewer airstrikes, saved civilian lives and reduced pressure on air defense systems," Brovdi said.
According to him, the Su-57, as Russia’s most modern fighter jet with stealth technologies, poses a special threat to aviation and air defense systems.
The estimated price of one Su-34 is $35-50 million. The cost of a Su-57 is about $100-120 million per unit.
Earlier, the AFU General Staff confirmed the strike on several Su-57 fighter jets and a Su-34 fighter-bomber on April 25, but did not specify their number.
