From 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, the Defense Forces neutralized 388 out of 409 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, that attacked Ukraine. Hits by 16 strike UAVs were recorded at six locations, and debris fell at 11 locations, according to the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On May 1 (from 08:00 to 15:30), Russia attacked with 409 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered versions), Gerber, Italmas, and other types of drones from the directions of Shatalovo, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, occupied Donetsk, and occupied Hvardiyske in Crimea. Approximately 250 of these were Shahed UAVs.

According to preliminary data, air defense shot down or suppressed 388 Russia UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types across the north, south, center, and west of the country. The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The Air Force added that the attack is ongoing, with Russia UAVs remaining in the airspace, and urged citizens to follow safety rules.
