Local defense councils decide on road blocks for TRCs, deputy defense minister says – official
Decisions to block traffic on roads for notification measures by the territorial recruitment and social support centers (TRCs) are made by local defense councils, and every notification group is equipped with body cameras, emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk.
Regarding the stops, Havryliuk stated that these decisions are made by local defense councils to fulfill the mobilization plan. He advised directing further inquiries to the heads of local defense councils regarding the legal basis for these stops.
Addressing questions about whether the Ministry of Defense is aware that TRC personnel may lack body cameras, the deputy minister stated that practically every TRC has a corresponding number of devices. While he noted that the quantity does not ensure a camera for every single TRC employee, he assured that every notification group has a body camera available.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko noted that martial law sometimes requires the restriction of rights and freedoms. She added that indeed, not all TRCs are fully equipped with body cameras.
