Ukraine is preparing to receive the next tranche of EUR 2.7 billion in June under the Ukraine Facility program, said Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.

According to him, the payment became possible thanks to the adoption by parliament of a number of bills and laws, which is a condition for fulfilling the indicators of the Ukrainian Plan.

"This is a concrete result of effective cooperation, but these adopted laws are also important for fulfilling the requirements for joining the European Union," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized during Question Hour to the Government in the Rada on Friday.

Kachka also noted the EU Council’s decision to launch a new financial instrument, the Ukraine Support Loan, worth up to EUR 90 billion for 2026-2027. He explained that while formally a loan, it is essentially aid that will only be repaid if Russia begins paying reparations.

At the same time, the official noted that this instrument does not fully cover the state’s financial needs, so work continues with third countries to accumulate additional support.

Currently, under the Ukraine Facility program, with a total budget of EUR 50 billion for 2024-2027, direct budget support funds (EUR 38.27 billion) are disbursed in quarterly tranches after the European Commission confirms Ukraine’s implementation of specific reforms and indicators outlined in the Ukraine Action Plan. Delays in implementing reforms and indicators lead to delays in funding.
