MP Zheleznyak publishes new installment of ‘Mindich recordings’
People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak (Holos faction) has published another installment of the "Mindich recordings," consisting of three parts.
On his YouTube video blog, Zheleznyak published new recordings which he claims are fragments of conversations between businessman Timur Mindich and then-Defence Minister Rustem Umerov from July 8, 2025, in which the interlocutors allegedly discuss personnel appointments in the government and candidates for the post of Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, as well as a so-called "project 23."
According to Zheleznyak, the recordings originate from the defence side of one of the suspects in the Mindich case. The fragments published by the deputy allegedly concern discussions of candidates for the posts of defense minister and prime minister ahead of the July 17, 2025 cabinet reshuffle, as well as candidates for the post of Ukrainian ambassador to the US.
Those mentioned include Rustem Umerov, Denys Shmyhal, Herman Halushchenko and Olha Stefanishyna, with Svitlana Hrynchuk cited by the interlocutors as the most promising ambassador candidate.
The video separately mentions the so-called "project 23," with Zheleznyak claiming that in fragments of the recordings Mindich and Umierov discuss a certain financial scheme involving a third party. The deputy noted that he does not have the full context of these conversations and plans to continue publishing material.
According to the MP, "based on the document format and, most importantly, the header of the first page, these are materials that came from the defence side. There is absolutely no doubt about it."
The authenticity of the recordings has not been independently verified. No reaction from Mindich, Umerov or their representatives is cited in the video.
