Zelenskyy: Russia may raise issue of ceasefire in exchange for lifting sanctions on certain enterprises
Russia may raise the issue of a ceasefire in exchange for the lifting of sanctions on certain enterprises, in particular, the Russians are raising the issue of lifting SWIFT sanctions, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"I think Russia can raise the issue of a ceasefire in exchange for lifting sanctions on certain enterprises,” Zelenskiy said. “I know that they are raising the issue of lifting the SWIFT sanction so that their banks can work. For Ukraine, all this is a big risk," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday.
The head of state also reported that the invitation to visit Kyiv remains in force for the envoys of U.S. President Donald Trump, Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
According to Zelenskyy, they have still not responded to the invitation, but they maintain telephone contact with the Ukrainian side.
