Zelenskyy: Ukraine seeks long-term ceasefire, not few hours of safety for parade in Moscow
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed representatives to contact US administration to clarify details of Russian proposal for short-term silence.
"I instructed our representatives to contact the team of the President of the United States and find out the details of the Russian proposal for a short-term silence. Ukraine seeks peace and provides necessary diplomatic work for a real end to this war. We will find out what specifically is being discussed: a few hours of safety for a parade in Moscow or something more. Our proposal is to cease fire long-term, guarantee reliable security for people and a long-lasting peace. Ukraine is ready to work for this in any worthy and effective format," Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
