16 people were injured in the massive overnight attack on Odesa, including a 17-year-old youth, with two casualties currently in intensive care in serious condition, Odesa City Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak said.

"Unfortunately, 16 people were injured. Among them is a 17-year-old youth. Two people are currently in intensive care in serious condition, with doctors fighting for their lives. One man was hospitalized in the trauma department. Other victims received necessary assistance on-site or were referred for outpatient treatment," the statement said.

According to Lysak, residential neighbourhoods and civilian facilities in various city districts came under attack. The most significant destruction was recorded in Prymorsky district, where a multi-story and a five-story residential building were damaged, with large-scale fires breaking out on the upper floors and roofs, which were contained by rescuers. Private housing and residential buildings in the central part of the city were also damaged.

Social and commercial facilities were also struck, including a kindergarten building, a shopping centre, a hotel and administrative premises. Dozens of buses and passenger cars were destroyed or damaged at several car parks.
