Russian oil pumping station near Perm hit - SBU
The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported a strike on an oil pumping station near the city of Perm, Russia, located more than 1,500 km from the Ukrainian state border.
Tonight, specialists from the SBU Alpha Special Operations Center targeted the Perm linear production and dispatch station. The facility belongs to JSC Transneft and serves as a strategically important hub for Russia’s main oil transportation system. Through this station, oil is distributed in four directions, including to the Perm refinery.
According to SBU information, a large-scale fire broke out at the oil pumping station as a result of a drone attack. Preliminary reports indicate that nearly all oil storage tanks are on fire.
The SBU is systematically reducing Russia’s export potential and undermining the economic foundation used to finance the war against Ukraine. Acting Head of the SBU Yevheniy Khmara noted that the destruction of oil logistics creates a resource deficit for the Russian military-industrial complex, disrupts fuel supply chains for the army, and forces Russia to spend significant resources on restoration and the protection of oil infrastructure.
