Poland to test new weapons on Ukrainian front
Poland seeks to use Ukrainian combat experience to test equipment and build joint industrial capacity, Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk said, Defence24 reported.
He stressed that Ukraine is currently a unique testing ground due to direct contact with a foreign army. In Tomczyk’s view, equipment produced in Poland should first be tested at domestic ranges and then in real battlefield conditions.
"This is a real picture of what works and what doesn’t," Tomczyk said.
He named WB Electronics as an example of a company already cooperating with Ukraine, while noting the need to scale up these efforts. The ministry’s goal is to develop a model based on symbiosis and the creation of shared technological advantage, while maintaining the priority of supporting the neighbouring country at war.
Asked about the possibility of joint drone production on Polish territory, Tomczyk confirmed that this option exists, noting that it requires a specific cooperation model that would benefit both states and take into account Ukraine’s needs as a country requiring military assistance.
As reported, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the Road to URC conference in Rzeszow announced Poland’s cooperation with Ukraine to create a modern drone army.
