Musician and producer Yevhen Filatov, MUZVAR music portal co-founder Oleksiy Dontsov, and musicologist Olha Lozynska joined the experts of the Thousand Spring (Tysiachovesna) cultural product support program, Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna reported.

"These are not all the experts, only those we can announce now with whom consent procedures are finalized. It is important to have people with good reputations who know how to create quality content and can distinguish a high-quality application from a poor one," Berezhna said at the project presentation for the music community in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The expert pool for evaluating music applications also includes previously announced figures: producer Vitaliy Drozdov, violinist Bohdana Pivnenko, and musicologist Liuba Morozova.

Earlier, the Vice Prime Minister reported that the project’s experts include: director Mstyslav Chernov, film producer Volodymyr Yatsenko, choreographer Olena Koliadenko, journalist Yulia Tymoshenko, producer Volodymyr Zavadiuk, Ukrainian House National Center Director Olha Viieru, Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance (UINP) Head Oleksandr Alforov, film director Antonio Lukich, director Alan Badoev, animation director Oleksandra Ruban, musician Pavlo Hudimov, theater directors Ivan Uryvsky and Vladyslav Troitsky, LINOLEUM festival director Anastasia Verlinska, "Real History" project founder Akim Halimov, producer Oleksiy Gladushevskyy, PinchukArtCentre Art Director Bjorn Geldhof, director and producer Yevhen Lavrenchuk, MIST festival producer Serhiy Mirankov, director Dmytro Andriianov, Maryna Er Gorbach, film producer Maksym Serdiuk, animation director Serhiy Kushnerov, theater director Tamara Trunova, photographer Sasha Maslov, video blogger Vitaliy Hordiienko, film producer Maksym Asadchy, video blogger Volodymyr Kokhan, film critic Alyona Penziy, film producer Natalia Libet, and director Pavlo Ostrikov.

The ministry will establish selection commissions in seven areas: audiovisual shows and social media videos (Ministry of Culture); feature films and series, documentaries, and children’s films/animation (State Film Agency); and contemporary music, performing arts, and visual arts (State Arts Agency).

Five experts will evaluate each application based on 10 criteria, including thematic relevance, budget justification, team professionalism, distribution potential, artistic value, innovation, social significance, inclusivity, feasibility, and past experience.

On April 3, the Ministry of Culture launched the call for applications for the Tysiachovesna initiative (formerly "1,000 Hours of Ukrainian Content"). The 2026 state budget provides UAH 4 billion for the program, with UAH 3.2 billion (80%) to be allocated this year. Berezhna also noted that the ministry will propose funding for the program in the 2027 state budget.
