Zelenskyy and Renaud-Basso discuss restoration of Chornobyl NPP confinement

The restoration of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant’s (NPP) confinement, damaged by Russian attacks, was the subject of talks between the President of Ukraine and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on his official Telegram channel on Sunday.

"I met with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in Chornobyl. We discussed consolidating international aid to restore the confinement over Unit 4 of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was damaged by a Russian drone in February 2025, as well as to address the long-term consequences of the Chornobyl disaster," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
