Ukrainian Navy evacuates scout from occupied Zaporizhia region
The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out an operation to evacuate a Ukrainian scout from the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region.
"The life of a Ukrainian citizen, Serhiy (name changed), came under threat after he saved our soldiers and provided valuable intelligence under occupation. Although Russia later released him, he remained trapped: without documents and under constant Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) and ‘commandant’s office’ surveillance, which made movement critically difficult," the Navy reported on Telegram.
On the orders of Navy Commander Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, the Navy’s special intelligence unit "Angels" conducted a risky and complex operation to evacuate the man from the occupied part of Zaporizhia region to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
