Sumy region faces most difficult energy situation, weather knocks out power in 100 settlements – Ukrenergo

As of the morning of April 28, the situation in Sumy region remains the most difficult following a morning drone attack, NPC Ukrenergo said on Tuesday.

"A significant portion of consumers in the region remains without power due to Russian strikes on energy infrastructure facilities," the system operator noted.

New power outages due to shelling also occurred in Zaporizhia and Kharkiv regions this morning. Emergency recovery work is underway where security conditions permit.

Additionally, as of Tuesday morning, strong wind gusts damaged overhead power lines, leaving more than 100 settlements in nine regions fully or partially without electricity – in Sumy, Khmelnytsky, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kherson, and Kyiv regions.

Oblenergo repair teams are doing everything possible to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible.

In turn, according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, no consumption restrictions are forecast for April 28.
