Men stab Ukrainian 14 times in Wroclaw – media

Two Poles stabbed a Ukrainian man in Wroclaw during a car sale, the InPoland news portal has reported.

"On April 26, in the center of Wroclaw, 32-year-old Dmytro sustained 14 stab wounds from individuals who, a few hours before the attack, wanted to buy his car. Dmytro had put his car up for sale, and two Poles expressed interest in viewing it," the report said.

According to the publication, the men were satisfied with the inspection, and the Ukrainian went home to collect the documents. The victim said the buyers asked for a ride to an ATM to withdraw funds. However, they failed to withdraw money at any of the 15 ATMs Dmytro drove them to. The men then asked to go to a Zabka convenience store, but they did not withdraw cash there either, claiming there was a long line.

"Dmytro had already begun filling out the bill of sale when he was suddenly attacked. The men… began stabbing him. He barely managed to unbuckle his seatbelt and run out of the car. Dmytro immediately started shouting for the attackers to be detained. In total, the perpetrators managed to inflict 14 stab wounds on the Ukrainian," InPoland reported.

After the attack, the perpetrators fled, with one of them losing his phone during the escape. Dmytro managed to seek help at a gas station, where police and an ambulance were called.

"He called his girlfriend and arranged to meet her at the gas station. There, an ambulance and police were called. Dmytro was able to reach the gas station on his own. Ukrainians provided him with first aid. The victim managed to tell the police about the attack before losing consciousness in the ambulance," journalists reported.

Medics provided the Ukrainian with all necessary assistance, applying more than 50 stitches. His life is not in danger.

The attackers have been detained.
