Rada conciliation council members, President's Office head team discuss Ukraine's movement toward EU – Stefanchuk
Members of parliament's conciliation council, Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov and his deputies discussed issues related to Ukraine's further movement toward European Union membership, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
"I held a meeting with the participation of the deputy speakers of the Verkhovna Rada, the head of the President's Office and his deputies, as well as the heads of parliamentary factions and groups. We discussed key issues concerning Ukraine's further movement toward membership in the European Union, strengthening our state's military capability, coordination of decisions in the security sphere, and responsibility at all levels," Stefanchuk said on his Facebook page on Monday.
According to the speaker, during a major war it is especially important to preserve unity on strategic issues.
"Where it concerns the defense of the state, the resilience of institutions and Ukraine's European future, joint action, clear coordination and political maturity are needed. We continue working – for the sake of a strong state, a strong army and a strong Ukrainian voice in Europe," Stefanchuk said.
