Ukrainian BlueBird Tech opens production of air defense missiles
Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech announced the launch of production of air defense missiles capable of intercepting enemy UAVs, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, the company said on Monday.
"Our own production of air defense missiles will make it cheaper to shoot down air targets compared to the similar products we receive," BlueBird Tech co-founder Valeriy Zarubin is quoted as saying in the release.
He added that BlueBird Tech aims to make air defense missiles affordable and mass-produced.
The company has already begun hiring specialists and is bringing in specialized engineers.
According to the release, in addition to defense systems, other missile solutions will be developed, the details of which are not yet disclosed for security reasons.
The company notes that Ukraine will see the results of its missile development in the coming years.
BlueBird Tech is a Ukrainian company with over 350 developers, engineers, designers, and production specialists. Since 2023, it has been working on various defense technologies, from electronic warfare and drone detection systems to FPV strike solutions and communications systems.
