Court sentences FSB agent spying on command posts and logistics warehouses in Donetsk region – SBU
Based on evidence from the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), a court sentences a fire corrector to 15 years in prison for helping Russia shell Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Donetsk region.
"The investigation established that the perpetrator corrected Russian strikes on the region under the guise of delivering bread to retail outlets in frontline settlements. She primarily sought to scout the locations of reserve command posts, logistics warehouses, and defensive strongpoints of Ukrainian troops in the Kramatorsk direction. SBU officers documented the agent’s crimes and detained her in the district center following a reconnaissance mission. Simultaneously, comprehensive measures secured the locations of Donetsk region defenders within the zone of Russian spying activity," the SBU said on its Telegram channel.
During searches, officers seized a smartphone used to photograph military objects, mark their geolocations on Google Maps, and coordinate actions with an FSB handler.
The investigation finds that the Russian intelligence service recruited a local resident to correct strikes.
"She drew the attention of Russia by posting anti-Ukrainian comments in Telegram chats. After recruitment, the traitor used commercial trips throughout the region to direct strikes against the Ukrainian Forces, primarily using guided aerial bombs," the SBU noted.
Based on SBU materials, the court finds the agent guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions conducted the investigation under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
