URCS helps clear aftermath of Russian UAV attack on Odesa
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) worked to clear the aftermath of a Russian UAV attack on Odesa.
"Volunteers of the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Odesa region worked at the sites of clearing the consequences of the attack together with other emergency services," the URCS reported on Facebook on Monday.
The volunteers on the spot provided first aid to one victim and psychological support to ten people in a state of acute stress reaction. They also provided rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with drinking water.
As reported, 14 people were injured in Odesa due to the night attack by Russia, including two children. Five victims were hospitalized, mostly with shrapnel wounds.
On the night of April 27, the Russian army launched UAV strikes on the port infrastructure of Great Odesa and facilities ensuring the operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor. As a result of the attack, an energy facility on the territory of a cargo terminal was damaged, causing local fires that were quickly extinguished by the relevant services. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities—a hotel, a funicular, and warehouses—were damaged in three districts of the city.
