Infotech director: Complex sensitive identification processes being automated as much as possible

SE Infotech is maximizing the automation of the work of departments and directorates of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the context of identifying missing persons, while simultaneously providing relatives of the deceased with tools to identify their loved ones.

Maksym Khimchenko, director of the SE Infotech, spoke about this in an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency, noting the operation of the registry of persons missing under special circumstances.

"The issue of identifying the deceased is not only about making the tool convenient, but also about ultra-sensitive data. And in general, about the possibility of obtaining such information and accessing it," Khimchenko noted.

He emphasized that the painstaking work of investigators to enter such information into the database, as well as its accumulation and processing, requires automation.

"We are generally automating the work of entire departments and directorates regarding identification. And we are providing the relatives of the deceased with the tools to work with remains so they can identify their loved one," the Infotech director said.

He concluded: "This is also a service, and it had to be made convenient so that people could work with it quickly, as this is data with limited access, including time-sensitive access. In addition, it is important to avoid the re-traumatization of relatives, so we are automating such complex sensitive processes as much as possible."

SE INFOTECH is the operator and developer of ministry digital systems, ensuring their creation, operation, and support 24/7.
