Casualty toll in Odesa rises to 14 – official
The number of casualties from the overnight attack in Odesa has risen to 14, including two children, Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper said.
"Five of the injured, mostly with shrapnel wounds, have been hospitalized. All are receiving necessary medical assistance," Kiper wrote on Telegram.
As reported, Russians struck port infrastructure of Greater Odesa and facilities supporting the Ukrainian maritime corridor overnight on April 27. According to a Monday Telegram post by the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine, the attack damaged an energy facility at a cargo terminal, causing local fires that were promptly extinguished by the relevant services.
The previous reported toll was 11 injured, including two children.
Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged in three city districts: a hotel, a funicular, and warehouses.
