Minister Fedorov: Focus of cooperation with Estonia is procurement of drones, anti-UAV systems

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Estonian counterpart Hanno Pevkur agreed on priorities for mutually beneficial cooperation during a meeting in Kyiv.

Fedorov said on Telegram on Saturday that "every decision and funding must meet the current needs of the front."

The Ukrainian defense minister listed key areas of interaction with Estonia. He recalled that Estonia confirmed its decision to allocate at least 0.25% of its GDP to aid Ukraine, which amounts to about EUR 110 million in 2026.

Fedorov called the procurement of drones and anti-UAV systems the main focus of interaction with Estonia.

According to him, a separate track is Estonia’s co-leadership in the IT coalition along with Luxembourg. "Estonia continues to be a driver of the digital transformation of the military. A total of EUR 1.4 billion has been attracted for communication systems and technological solutions. Estonia’s contribution this year is EUR 5.7 million," the Ukrainian defense minister said.

Fedorov thanked for the additional $13 million contribution to the PURL mechanism to promptly cover priority needs of the Defense Forces.
