Azerbaijan, Ukraine have 'excellent opportunities' to produce military goods together - Aliyev
Baku and Kyiv have good prospects for joint production of military and defense industry goods, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
"We had an exchange of views on military-technical cooperation, and very good prospects also exist here. Both Azerbaijan and Ukraine are developing their military and defense industry and have excellent opportunities for join production, for joint production in the industry in general," Aliyev said during a joint press statement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Azerbaijan’s Gabala on Saturday.
The parties also discussed expanding cooperation on many tracks, "including the energy sector, discussed interaction in agriculture and mentioned the activities of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation," the Azerbaijani presidential website said.
Aliyev emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine "has a very solid political foundation."
"Azerbaijan and Ukraine mutually support and will support the countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity in all international organizations," he said.
