US President Donald Trump commented on Prince Harry’s remarks about the role of the United States in ending the war in Ukraine, saying he "speaks for Great Britain more than Prince Harry does."

"I know one thing: Prince Harry does not speak for Great Britain, that’s for sure. I think I speak for Great Britain more than Prince Harry, but I appreciate his advice," Trump said in response to a journalist’s question about the appropriateness of Prince Harry’s comment that the United States should do more to end the war in Ukraine.

The day before, Prince Harry, speaking at the Kyiv Security Forum, recalled that the United States became a guarantor of Ukraine’s security under the Budapest Memorandum.

"The United States plays a unique role in this story. Not only because of its power, but because when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, America was part of the guarantee that Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders would be respected," Harry said.
