Mudra: 22 countries announce their consent to join agreement to launch Special Tribunal
Greece and Finland have announced their intention to join the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Russian Aggression against Ukraine, Deputy Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Iryna Mudra said.
"We thank Finland and Greece for the official notification to the Council of Europe of their intention to join the Expanded Partial Agreement on the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine. The coalition continues to grow – confidently and inevitably. This is a principled and timely step in support of a just and lasting peace," she said on her Facebook page.
Mudra said Finland and Greece became the 21st and 22nd states to declare such an intention.
"In May, at the meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Chisinau, Moldova, the Agreement on the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal is expected to be adopted. Thus, the tribunal will move from the sphere of declarations to the plane of law. To those who have not yet taken this step: we call on you to join now! The time to act has come," she said.
Earlier it was reported that Finland joined the agreement to launch the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
