AI-related technological revolution will shape new world order, Zaluzhny believes
The new world order will be defined by the technological revolution currently underway, Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and former Armed Forces commander-in-chief (2021-2024) Valerii Zaluzhny believes.
"What will the new world order look like and what will shape it? Clearly, the great technological revolution that is happening right now, linked to artificial intelligence. Predicting the consequences of this revolution is impossible. Everything will depend on how countries and societies, including Ukraine, navigate this leap. The role of our youth is important here, as is the state's ability to form and develop their potential," Zaluzhnyi wrote on Facebook following a meeting with students from various Ukrainian universities as part of an online discussion organized by the Nizhny Kyiv School of Public Administration.
He stressed that the old world order, based on rules and the power that upheld them, is over. "It was gradually destroyed after the 2008 war in Georgia. And so it was only a matter of time before conflicts spread to other parts of the world," the diplomat said.
Zaluzhny said the discussion focused on the end of the war in Ukraine, whether it could have been avoided, and the country's strategy and goals in the war.
