URCS volunteers distributing aid to victims of Russian drone attack in Dnipro
Volunteers from Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) are distributing humanitarian aid to people affected by the overnight Russian drone attack on Dnipro.
"A team from Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society is currently working at the site of the aftermath of the overnight attack. It is distributing humanitarian aid to those affected - emergency response kits, tarpaulins for temporary covering of damage to homes, and blankets," the URCS said on Facebook on Thursday.
During the night, the URCS Emergency Response Unit in Dnipropetrovsk region worked at the attack site. Together with rescuers, volunteers carried out door-to-door visits to search for victims. Three people were provided with first aid.
As reported, three people were killed in the enemy attack on Dnipro. In a multi-storey residential building in the city center, apartments from the ninth to the sixth floors in one section were completely destroyed, while damage was recorded at four locations across the city, with at least 13 buildings affected. More than 500 windows were shattered throughout the city, and the exhibition center of the Ukrainian Artists' Union and a musical instruments shop were damaged.
Search and rescue operations at the site of the Russian attack have been completed. Debris removal and dismantling of damaged structures are continuing.
