Estonian Defense Minister Pevkur arrives in Kyiv for security forum
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur arrived in Kyiv and spoke at the 18th Kyiv Security Forum.
During his address Pevkur said it is "more important than ever to focus international attention on Ukraine’s fight for its territory," an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
The two-day Kyiv Security Forum opened in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday. This year’s theme is "Darkness or Dawn: Is There Light Ahead?"
The forum brings together international leaders, senior security and defense officials, NATO representatives, diplomats, innovators and public figures to discuss current security challenges. Key topics include international solidarity with Ukraine, transatlantic unity, global security, defense and modern warfare technologies, anti-corruption efforts, countering Russia disinformation, resilience of cities and energy infrastructure, and nuclear security.
The Kyiv Security Forum is Ukraine’s leading international platform for discussing issues of war, peace and global security, founded in 2007 at the initiative of Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Open Ukraine Foundation.
