Zelenskyy says firearms legalization changes must be made at legislative level

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said all changes regarding firearms legalization must be made exclusively at the legislative level, with the government and parliament expected to work on resolving the issue.

"I agree with society and experts that in principle this issue needs to be settled, although it is not simple as it is a great responsibility. But the relevant changes must be made exclusively at the legislative level, so I expect government officials, primarily the Interior Ministry, to work together with parliamentarians, with their colleagues on the relevant committee, and present this concept," Zelenskyy told journalists on Thursday.

He said he is ready to work together on the issue.
