No people, no front, no Ukraine – Budanov
Mobilization problems are inevitable during an ongoing war, but without people it is impossible to fully staff the military, on which the front depends, and with it the future of Ukraine, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov has said.
"Stop believing in miracles. The mobilization issue did not appear out of nowhere due to some circumstances. This is a standard situation for any country that uses a mobilization mechanism. Look at the best world examples: the United States in the Vietnam War, for instance…," he said on the sidelines of the Kyiv Security Forum, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
Without mobilization it is impossible to fully staff the military, and "all those willing have long since volunteered" to serve, Budanov said.
"People are needed. If there are no people, there will be no front. If the front collapses, there will be no Ukraine," the lieutenant general said.
