Ukraine, Russia losses not in China's interest – Zaluzhny

Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and former Armed Forces commander-in-chief (2021-2024) Valerii Zaluzhny believes China has no interest in either Ukraine or Russia losing the war.

"China is a very interesting case. It is not in China’s interest for either Ukraine or Russia to lose, because China always uses some platform to move forward. In my view, Ukraine today is precisely the ideal platform for China to continue its expansion into Europe," Zaluzhny said during an online discussion with students from various Ukrainian universities organized by the Nizhny Kyiv School of Public Administration.
