Ukrainian mustard and horseradish producer Vinnytsia Food and Gustatory Factory PrJSC has opened a new cider production facility, investing in equipment, including an UAH 8 million state grant for processing, announced Dmytro Kysylevsky, deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.

"One of the hallmarks of a successful Ukrainian manufacturer is the bold use of the 'Made in Ukraine' program for the development of Ukrainian producers. The Vinnytsia Food and Gustatory Factory has recently received a state grant for processing. Thanks to the UAH 8 million received, the company built a new production facility. These funds were used to purchase large metal tanks and pasteurizers, also manufactured at the Kalynivsky Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) in Vinnytsia region," he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

He added that the factory can actively invest in new projects thanks to the successful development of its core business – horseradish and mustard production.

"The production volume of this product is impressive – 18 million jars per year. Interestingly, in recent years, Ukrainians' consumption of mustard has been growing, while horseradish consumption has been declining," the MP wrote.

He noted that Vinnytsia producer currently employs 145 people and exports approximately every fifth jar of mustard and horseradish to 11 countries.

"He's also investing in energy sustainability, preparing for next winter, which will certainly be no easier than the last," Kysylevsky wrote.

As the factory told Interfax-Ukraine, it has already begun producing kvass and lemonade, as well as 16 types of beer (the beer is currently sold regionally, but plans to expand to a national scale).

In addition to cider, kombucha production is also planned. Production capacity is not specified.

PrJSC Vinnytsia Food and Gustatory Factory was established in 1999 as a result of the reorganization of the Vinnytsia Foodstuffs Plant OJSC.

The product range consists of more than 50 food items: horseradish, mustard, mayonnaise, sauces, cereal sticks, breakfast cereals, textured flour, and kvass.

The factory has not yet published its financial report for 2025, but in 2024, its net income increased by 4% compared to 2023, reaching UAH 323.17 million, with net profit growing by 36.2%, reaching almost UAH 34 million.

The factory cooperates with national and international retail chains: ATB-Market, Silpo, Fora, Velyka Kyshenia, ECO-Market, Novus, Metro, Auchan, and local retail chains.

Products are supplied to 17 regions of Ukraine, primarily through its own fleet of vehicles, which numbered 14 units at the beginning of 2025.

The company exports products to Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Greece, the United States, Canada, and African countries.
