Zelenskyy, Spanish Defense Minister discuss defense cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Kyiv with Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles and discussed defense cooperation with her.

"We are counting on an expansion of the SAFE program and the emergence of new products from our joint production. I informed her about the situation on the front line and the constant Russian strikes," Zelenskyy said on Telegram on Wednesday.

He thanked Spain for supporting Ukraine’s air defense with missiles for Hawk and Patriot systems.

"These weapons are in short supply, and therefore Spain’s assistance is very important for our defense against massive Russian attacks," the head of state said.
