Zelenskyy signs European integration laws on energy standards and product testing
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed European integration laws that bring Ukrainian goods and the energy market closer to European Union standards, the press service of the Ukrainian parliament reported.
"4831-IX is a step toward the recognition of Ukrainian goods in the EU. The law is a prerequisite for concluding the ACAA Agreement (the ‘industrial visa-free regime’), implements European product verification principles, and strengthens the responsibility of business entities for product compliance with technical regulations," the Verkhovna Rada said on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.
It was also reported that Law 4834-IX, concerning energy sector operations in accordance with EU regulations, was signed. "Ukraine is officially integrating its electricity market with the European one. The law introduces new concepts (aggregation, flexibility, public energy associations) and ensures transparent and competitive conditions for energy sector participants," the message reads.
