More than 4.4 mln square meters of road surface already repaired in Ukraine since year start – Kuleba

More than 4.4 million square meters of road surface have been repaired since January 1, 2026, which is almost 50% of the planned completion date within five months, reported Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister of Community Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

"Since the beginning of the year, more than 4.4 million square meters of road surface have already been repaired. This is almost half of the work on national roads scheduled for completion by June 1. This year, work began at a record early stage and has gradually increased in pace – from 4,000-5,000 square meters per day in the winter to nearly 200,000 square meters daily now," he wrote on Telegram on Saturday.

According to him, approximately 200 repair crews and 1,900 workers are currently working on national roads. The number of crews has been increased to expedite the work. Repairs continue on key routes across the country, including: M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky; M-05 Kyiv-Odesa; M-06 Kyiv-Chop; M-11 Lviv-Shehyni; M-19 Domanove-Kovel-Chernivtsi-Terebleche; M-21 Vystupovychi-Zhytomyr-Mohyliv-Podilsky, and others.

In total, approximately 10 million square meters of road surface are planned for restoration this year.
