Scammers send fake letters on behalf of President’s Office head
Scammers are distributing fake letters on behalf of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, the Office’s press service reports.
"Recently, such a letter was received by the President of the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada, Yuri Klufas. It contained a request from the alleged Head of the Presidential Office to ‘provide active media and information support’ for the return of Ukrainian citizens to their homeland. The letter was not sent from an official address, but from a mailbox created on a commercial mail resource: [email protected]. The signature under the letter does not belong to Kyrylo Budanov," the report says.
It is noted that all information regarding the cyber fraud has already been handed over to the relevant law enforcement agencies.
"We urge everyone to carefully check email senders and not to trust suspicious addresses," the Office of the President added.
