General Staff: 166 combat clashes occur on front since beginning of Sunday
Since the beginning of Sunday, 166 combat clashes have taken place on the front, mostly in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"In total, 166 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of this day. The enemy launched 43 air strikes, dropping 146 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 4,887 kamikaze drones were used for strikes, and 2,237 attacks were carried out against the positions of our troops and populated areas," the report says.
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 76 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, including six involving multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units ten times in the areas of Synelnykove, Prylypka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, and in the direction of Bochkove. One combat clash is ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy assaults in the areas of Kurylivka, Kolisnykivka, Kivsharivka, and Radkivka. Three more combat clashes are still continuing.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian military repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance in the direction of Tverdokhlibove, Drobysheve, Lyman, Shyikivka, and Hrekivka. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Slovyansk direction, the Ukrainian military repelled one occupier assault in the Rai-Oleksandrivka area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy has attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders once near the settlement of Holubivka since the beginning of the day.
The Defense Forces successfully repelled 16 enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka direction near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 35 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Dorozhnye, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Zatyshshia, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Filiya in the direction of Novooleksandrivka and Shevchenko. Two combat clashes are still continuing.
"According to preliminary calculations, 123 occupiers were eliminated and 46 were wounded in this direction today; eight units of automotive equipment and three units of special equipment of the enemy were destroyed, one gun and seven units of automotive equipment were damaged. Some 126 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed," the report says.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers tried twice to improve their position by attacking in the areas of Oleksandrohrad and Sichneve. The outskirts of Ivanivka and Havrylivka came under air strikes.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 27 occupier attacks in the areas of Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Zelene, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, and in the direction of Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, and Hirke. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Vozdvyzhenska, Huliaipilske, Liubytske, and Mykilske.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried to advance in the area of Pavlivka. In addition, the enemy launched air strikes on the areas of Vilnianka and Kushuhum.
In the Prydniprovsky direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped three attacks toward the Antonivka Bridge and near Bilohrudy Island. The settlements of Bilozerka, Chornobaivka, and Rozlyv were hit by air strikes with guided bombs.
