In the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine plans to conclude contracts with manufacturers for the supply of 25,000 Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicles (UGCVs), which is twice as many as in the entirety of 2025.

"Nineteen contracts worth UAH 11 billion have already been concluded with UGCV manufacturers in 2026: unmanned ground combat complexes will gradually reach the front," the Ministry of Defence reported on Telegram on Saturday.

It is reported that in the first half of 2026, it is planned to contract 25,000 UGCVs, doubling the volume of the entire previous year.

"Just four years ago, the UGCV market practically did not exist. Today, it is a full-fledged industry created together with Brave1: 280+ companies and 550+ solutions," the Ministry of Defence noted.

To speed up the process, contracting has been simplified, funding increased, and procurement accelerated. "Together with the General Staff, we are creating a special UGCV centre of excellence—a single location for all manufacturers where it will be easier to obtain all permits and send UGCVs to work sooner," the Ministry of Defence emphasized.
