Russian attack damages vital energy facility in Chernihiv region, 380,000 without power – OC North

Russian occupation forces attacked a vital energy facility in the Nizhyn district (Chernihiv region) overnight, leaving 380,000 subscribers in the cities of Chernihiv, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Slavutych, and the Chernihiv, Nizhyn, and Pryluky districts without electricity, Operational Command North reported.

"Over the past day and as of the morning of April 18, 2026, the following was recorded: a vital energy facility in the Nizhyn district was damaged as a result of a Russian attack. 380,000 subscribers in the cities of Chernihiv, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Slavutych, and the Chernihiv, Nizhyn, and Pryluky districts have been de-energized," OC North stated on Telegram on Saturday.
