G7 Ambassadors welcome appointment of new customs head following transparent competition
The G7 ambassadors have welcomed the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to appoint Orest Mandziy as the head of the State Customs Service (SCS) following a transparent competitive selection process that aligns with International Monetary Fund benchmarks.
"G7 ambassadors welcome the Cabinet’s decision to appoint Orest Mandziy as head of the State Customs Service following a transparent competitive selection in line with IMF benchmarks. A steadfast commitment to reform is key to economic growth and an attractive investment climate for Ukraine’s reconstruction," a statement from the G7 Ambassadors’ Group for Support of Reforms in Ukraine (G7 AmbReformUA) read.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Orest Mandziy as head of the SCS on April 10 following the competitive selection process. The new head of the service was officially introduced to the agency’s staff on April 15.
