Zelenskyy and King of Sweden honor memory of fallen warriors
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors.
"King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden began his visit to Ukraine by honoring our fallen warriors together with me. We are very grateful for this respect. The memory of each and every one of them is very important to us," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel on Friday.
The President noted that the defenders fought not only for Ukraine but also to protect all of Europe, so that Russian madness and murders would not spread further.
Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytsky reported that this is the first visit to the Lviv region for the Swedish monarch.
"Important meetings lie ahead. But first, the Ukrainian and Swedish delegations honored the memory of the fallen Ukrainian warriors who rest at the Lychakiv Cemetery," he reported on Telegram.
The press service of the Swedish Royal Court announced that the King and Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard are visiting the city of Lviv to demonstrate Sweden’s strong support for Ukraine.
