Zelenskyy: Air defense destroys 90% of targets, but there is shortage of anti-ballistic missiles
As of today, air defense systems are operating every day and destroy 90% of targets, but there is a shortage of anti-ballistic missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"Today our systems are operating every day, they are working very well, 90% of targets are destroyed, but there is a major shortage of anti-ballistic missiles," Zelenskyy said during a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten on Thursday.
According to the president, Ukraine uses interceptors, F-16s, Patriot, Iris-T and NASAMS air defense systems to destroy targets.
"For example, today our F-16s and other systems destroyed all cruise missiles. And more than 600 drones that we had. Not all of them, but a very large percentage. But we do have a problem with a shortage of anti-ballistic missiles," Zelenskyy said, adding that he had discussed this with the Dutch prime minister.
"The Netherlands has already helped us more than once with these missiles. But unfortunately, we have to talk about this, every day, because every day we face such ballistic attacks," the head of state said.
