Russian attack cuts power to consumers in 9 regions – Energy Ministry
As a result of shelling of energy infrastructure facilities tonight, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions temporarily remain without electricity supply.
"Power engineers are working in an enhanced mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing around the clock," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported.
The ministry also confirmed information that no restrictions are predicted to be applied on April 16 and advised consumers to learn about any changes in energy supply on the official resources of their regional power distribution companies.
"We ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity sparingly in the evening hours – from 18:00 to 22:00. This helps reduce the load on the system," the ministry noted.
