Death toll in Odesa confirmed at 9, 23 others injured - official
The death toll in Odesa following the Russian attack on Thursday night has risen to nine, with 23 injured, reported head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper.
"Unfortunately, as a result of the night shelling in Odesa, the deaths of 9 people have been confirmed, and another 23 people were injured. Information is being clarified," Kiper wrote on Telegram.
According to him, all necessary medical assistance is being provided to the victims. Search and rescue operations and the elimination of consequences are ongoing at the sites.
Earlier, Kiper reported eight dead and 16 injured as a result of the night Russian attack. Residential buildings, as well as port and critical infrastructure facilities, sustained significant damage.
