Ukraine works on joint production with Europe of all necessary air defense systems, missiles and all types of drones - Zelenskyy
Air defense cooperation is currently Ukraine’s biggest diplomatic priority, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Russia is not changing its tactics of combined strikes, and the defense forces must be ready to shoot down all types of aerial targets," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
According to him, that is why the PURL program, which enables the acquisition of necessary anti-ballistic missiles, must continue to operate.
"The Ukrainian side is currently working to jointly produce with European partners all necessary air defence systems, missiles for them and each type of drone, without which real defence in modern warfare is impossible," Zelenskyy said.
He also explained that as a result of this week’s work, Ukraine will be provided with additional strengthening capabilities through joint work with Europeans on drones and joint production.
"For every Russian strike there will be our responses - our long-range sanctions against the aggressor, our internal development of the defence system and our cooperation with partners who genuinely value human life," Zelenskyy said.
