"The assistance will be provided to socially vulnerable Kyiv residents and internally displaced persons who are registered and actually live in the capital. The payments will be made under an order of the Kyiv mayor in line with the city target program 'Care. Toward Kyiv Residents'," the administration said in the statement.

In particular, one-off assistance of UAH 2,500 will be paid to people with Category 1 disability linked to the Chornobyl disaster.

Assistance of UAH 1,500 will be paid to children with disabilities linked to the Chornobyl disaster, orphans who lost both parents as a result of the disaster, children who lost one parent as a result of the disaster, and persons with Category 1 Group II and III disabilities linked to the Chornobyl disaster.

Assistance of UAH 1,200 will be paid to people classified as Category 2 victims of the Chornobyl disaster, while UAH 1,000 will be paid to widows or widowers of deceased cleanup workers.

"If a Kyiv resident belongs to several categories at the same time, they will receive one payment in the highest amount," the city administration said.
