Number of transit declarations in Q1 2026 doubles year-on-year – customs
Entrepreneurs completed 46,300 transit declarations in January–March 2026, compared to nearly half that number – 25,800 – during the same period last year, according to the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
As noted in the agency's Telegram publication, in the first quarter of this year more than 30,100 movements initiated in Ukraine were successfully completed in countries participating in the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure. At the same time, Ukrainian customs authorities ensured the completion of another 16,200 movements initiated abroad.
"The NCTS system continues to be actively used for domestic transit as well: nearly 9,000 T1 declarations were issued for movements within Ukraine. March 2026 was particularly productive, with record indicators since Ukraine joined the Convention on October 1, 2022: 12,100 departure declarations and 6,400 completions in Ukraine," the agency said.
In addition, during the period under review, 15 comprehensive guarantees totaling EUR 39 million were registered in the system, along with 5,821 individual guarantees with a total value of EUR 491 million.
