Biopharmaceutical company Biopharma plans to launch the first stage of its pharmaceutical and immunobiological production plant in Uzhgorod in September. The facility will provide a full-cycle blood plasma processing operation.

According to the Government Portal, the company has already invested EUR 67 million in construction. The total cost of the first stage amounts to EUR 75 million.

At present, the main building and raw materials warehouse have already been constructed, and equipment has been installed.

As previously reported, Biopharma had planned to launch the first stage of production in the first half of 2026.

According to the plan, production volumes of plasma-derived medicines in Uzhgorod will be twice those of the company's facility in Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region) and will reach up to 1.5 million liters per year.

Construction of the Biopharma Plasma plant in Uzhgorod began in the fall of 2024. The total planned investment in the new production facility is about EUR 80 million. The Uzhgorod plant will be export-oriented.

Biopharma exports its products to dozens of countries and plans to expand its presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, and continues to scale up its capabilities.
